I love being your mom, and here are five reasons why.
You’re a gift from God.
My heart aches for women who long for a child. I’m blessed to have all four of you.
You’re the product of a great love.
Your dad and I share a love that we’ll take to heaven, and you’re a result of that affection and commitment.
You’re your father’s son.
Can’t think of a better man to father my sons! Each of you carries a piece of Dad that makes me love you all the more.
You’ve taught me patience and brought me joy at the same time.
Oh yes, there were trying times and you may recall Mom losing it once in a while. But I have never regretted being a boy mom four times over. You have brought me lots and lots of joy and you still do.
You’ve made me smile.
Funny faces, cute comments, hilarious costumes, and plays in the living room. Daring feats (the bike ramp on the sidewalk), a few stitches, afternoons spent playing in a box until it disintegrated. The fact that all of you thought you had to marry a redhead. (The three that still have to choose, that’s not a bad idea.) All of this and much, much more – you’ve made me smile over and again.
And I could give you a hundred more! No matter what, never forget that Mom loves you.
For the love of my boys,
Mom
